Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.

It said wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
