Netflix Chooses Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.

The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. The role has the ability to transform into an perfect replica of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and animated series.

Escola will work alongside several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, including leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
