Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the Australian man pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had assembled in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
